I think it's also a great idea. Many people have hectic schedules, and this is a good way to promote healthy pregnancies. It shouldn't be replacement for seeing a doctor, and I'm sure that wasn't the intention for this program.D_anahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05934262070537500803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20882334.post-59235454512916754302011-03-10T22:25:24.718-08:002011-03-10T22:25:24.718-08:00Well since the world is becoming digitized any way...Well since the world is becoming digitized any ways why not have a text4baby. Mothers can get advice by looking at their phone instead of going to parenting classes and doctors i think its an ok system. But i still feel real people giving this information and advice is better than any computer.Tannerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12412393115370447138noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20882334.post-13841913936754910742011-03-10T22:14:29.610-08:002011-03-10T22:14:29.610-08:00And we wonder why there are so many lazy Americans...And we wonder why there are so many lazy Americans and why the world is becoming flat! Are you kidding...this just shows the laziness of people...come on can we not do things in person anymore without all of the digitization. Let's close the ambition gap by getting motivated to find information we need...not automatically have it sent to our phone whether it is pertinent info we want or need.Swayzehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08033644532315954017noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20882334.post-86296333908018506742011-03-10T22:02:17.391-08:002011-03-10T22:02:17.391-08:00I feel that this article opens readers eyes to the...I feel that this article opens readers eyes to the fact that pregnant women need information. I also think that this says alot about how we educate people in schools. I dont think its fair to not teach students, male or female, about information on pregance and when to go to doctors appointment. Yes, this information is out there. But, are we making it accessible for teens or adults.Chandlerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11013341582975106344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20882334.post-77199498004768065102011-03-10T21:53:48.186-08:002011-03-10T21:53:48.186-08:00I think it is important to remember that the purpo...I think it is important to remember that the purpose of text4baby is not to necessarily "automize" prenatal care. It is about reminding mothers who don't understand fully what they need to be doing. Ultimately, it is helping inform the ignorant. I can't imagine a thirty year old pregnant woman of the upper class getting text messages about how to care for their baby. This is about getting the right information to everybody else, and I'm sure the women who need text4baby, and use it, really do appreciate it.lilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13097829374210258042noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20882334.post-90151775343046416552011-03-10T20:47:35.780-08:002011-03-10T20:47:35.780-08:00I think that this is a good idea. With all the things parents have to go through before and after birth....a reminder here and there would not hurt. This type of program can work in many different fields like people attending college, and helpful reminders on how to study or "this will help you in your studying English type of messages could possibly enhance ones learning.Carmen E Johnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06540863598336495680noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20882334.post-50779021543837109102011-03-10T20:44:22.456-08:002011-03-10T20:44:22.456-08:00I think this is awesome. I am confident that if there was something seriously wrong with a child, they would go to a professional. But I'm sure there are many people that will find it helpful to have general reminders throughout the week. Things get crazy and people forget things- even when those things are something as important as prenatal care or whatever, so why not take every precaution possible?!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15883974547580024858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20882334.post-60566233074683080792011-03-10T20:14:18.504-08:002011-03-10T20:14:18.504-08:00This really shows that americans are becoming lazy...This really shows that americans are becoming lazy and they are struggling with the ambition gap. I think that women whom are pregnant need to be seeing a doctor on a regular basis to make sure the infant is not going to have future problems. I believe some information after the baby is born good, but not while the mother is pregnant. This is another way why Americas are lazy.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17494737500538213451noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20882334.post-23905208731429350762011-03-10T16:21:52.106-08:002011-03-10T16:21:52.106-08:00This article was quite interesting. Being a mother of several children it seems like the last person you think about is yourself whether you are pregnant or not. I think having little reminders or boosts everyday is terrific. I don't consider a person lazy by participating in this at all. Of course the person would still need to visit their physician. This is just an extra bonus because I never had time to look things up on the internet when I was chasing little ones around the house, working, coaching, etc.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13570697547705553780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20882334.post-83483637539413901762011-03-08T20:59:20.266-08:002011-03-08T20:59:20.266-08:00I agree that this program suggests we are struggli...I agree that this program suggests we are struggling with the ambition gap and this shows just how lazy Americans have become. The issue that it seems like will arise is that I think most people are too proud to take advice from an impersonal agency (regardless of their attempts to make the texts seem like they're from friends). It is a very odd idea I'm tempted to call the idea quixotic.Cecilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07843303136935858032noreply@blogger.com
