I am scared about getting our papers back tomorrow. I don't think I did very well on this paper.
Does anyone have any brilliant ideas about the rough draft due tomorrow? I am not completely sure what I am going to write about. However, I do know that it will be more than two pages.
I am scare too, but I think I did better than my last paper. I am really glad Mr. Peters went over everything in class today, that's going to help me organize my essay easier.
I was really interested in the work with the work we did on the board.
The "Class Matters" chapter "Shadowy Lines That Still Divide" into 4 parts 1. Perception 2.Reality 3.Pesiimistic and 4.Lucky-Hopeful.
While I can see that most of the research is leaning toward, not being able to change classes and,Meritocracy not really counting for a lot.
I believe in the Micro-classes and I refuse to give up!!!
I am willing to move up in the Micro-classes. I don't WANT to be a part of the "snobby" upper crust, I see that with my sister (Dr.'s wife) I just want to move up further than where I currently live, at the or near the bottom.
DEFIANT OPTIMISM all the way!!!
So I know that we should probably use all three of the books we've read to help us in our writting, but I find Nickel and Dimed useless, TWIF and CM is way more helpful in my opinion.
Using all three books will be tough to get the simmilar ideas across. I looked for something interesting from N & D, then incorperated it into my writing. This is new to me, I usually have an idea then look for articles supporting my argument. This time I found a related topic and wrote it in. I think I may have learned something.
Originally I was completely freaked out about this in class essay. I think that this will be a new writing tool.
For Angela Whitaker's paper, I feel very inspired. I personally think that it is possible to "Duplicate" her success because everyone important in my life has changed their situation for the better. The only thing in one case particularly that hadn't changed was the mind frame from being lower class previously.

I noticed in class when we went over the class perception and reality we were all on the same page. That our perception is off because people can afford more luxuries cause of places like walmart and the reality is mobility is low. Where people divided was between whether it would change or not. Everyone seemed to have something to say towards why it wouldn't change yet when it came to saying why it would change (optomistic) Mr. peters had to kind of push it out of us. I believe its because it is hard to fix a problem that is under the surface, a problem that no one really notices or even wants to notice.
God i know i did bad...i said it right to his face while i was turning it in. i dont like how we go thorugh it in class ether really hard tro stay focused when every inch of every white board is covered in writing. Should be an art form...
i am very excited to get my paper back tomorrow, but on the other side i also feel scared because he is grading up a little tougher this time opps i am really scared now.
I think that i did okay. but iam going to make this essay my final final paper so i can get more points out of it
I always get so freaked out when I get a paper back. It’s crazy! I think it is the most suspenceful feeling ever!
I agree with Andrea, after seeing everyone was pretty much on the same page, it was easier to communicate with my friends in the class to share ideas and have a better foundation.
