MLA Paper Format
Integrating sources.
Four Parts to every quote
Signal phrase (As Ehrenreich notes, "alsdkfja;lsdj")
The quote, set off in quotation marks.
Punctuation goes outside/inside.
Parenthetical citation. (Ehrenreich 53).
No pg. pp. etc.
Period goes at very end.
Make use of the quote by explaining how it fits the topic of the paragraph, or the overall thesis. Period goes at the end of the cite.
A couple of tricky bits
If you are taking words out of a single sentence, use …
If you are taking words out between sentences, use ….
If you need to include a word not in the original quote, use brackets [ ]
If you are quoting someone else, who is quoted someplace else, use "qtd. in"
Do not use … a the beginning of end of quotes (considered redundant).
If the work has two or three authors, they must be named in either the () or the signal phrase. More than three use et. al.
When the author is unknown, use the title of the article. You may abbreviate the title.
When the page numbers are unknown, use only the author's name if there is one.
What to avoid:
Quotes that just lay there.
Dropped quotes.
Not using quotation marks correctly.
Not quoting accurately.
Works cited, see link.

Does anyone happen to know what channel that President's address thing is on? Or if I would be able to watch on the internet a little later?
The speech will air live on CNN television and CNN.com. All the local channels will also have coverage of them at 8pm or 9pm. The State of the Union Address will also be online afterwards.
He said that the State of the Union Address would be on the internet. I am waiting for that, hoping I can fast forward to the good stuff!
These links were extrememly useful. I sometimes had trouble with formatting stuff in MLA as it is different from what I knew before. These links helped me find the necessary information to make my paper a lot easier to understand.
