Have any of you decided what your going to write on? I'm going to write about the Dream act it will have a definite impact on the Yakima Valley. ANY ONE.....Let bounce some ideas off each other.
I am thinking about writing about something in the area of education since it will probably affect my kids education in someway. Washington Learns seems to interest me.
I switched schools and districts alot so I can see how seemless education could make a huge difference.
I think I'm writing about education because I couldn't really pick one. I'm going to write about the East Yakima Early Learning program. I'm from East Valley so maybe I will be able to relate to this topic more than I thought.
i will also write about the Dream Act. i think that in my point of view i can talk about this more because many people that i know can benefit form this in countinuing with their education.
Even though I'm not writing on education, I think that focusing on the DREAM Act would be a great idea. It's a great program that should be passed if the United States hopes to have a fighting chance in the flat world.
I am writting on YV-Tech and Globalization. Specialized training for those who are not goinhg on to college. The thing that worries me about the Tech schools is there is no Liberal Arts Classes and to balance out the traing, Friendman says in the book that imagination and creativity are extreamly important. So what will happen to these Tech Grads?

I am writing on immigration, but I mention the Dream Act. I think it is an interesting concept, but should never be passed.
