This a great idea. Your phone telling you when to water your plants or turn on the wind machines. Now if my phone would remind me to feed my cat that would be an app worth having.

Is there one for gardeners? It could remind you when to plant your tomatoes . . . and water your poppies . . . and to plant your cilantro next week after the freeze.

I think as Americans we rely on our cellphones way to much. When I was in middle school I had an alarm clock, now i use my cell phone, if i lose my cell phone I don't even have an alarm to wake me up. How sad is that? What happens when a farmer forgets to pay his phone bill, he can no longer remember when to water his plants or milk his cows...just great

Just another thing to add to the app store for iPhones i guess! Personally, we are already lazy, and if we need a cell phone telling us when to water our crops, we need some serious help.

I don't know Adeana... Why do we need to be reminded to water our plants and feed our animals? How lazy are we getting? Do we also need to be reminded to eat, use the restroom, and sleep??

any person who knows how to grow a successful crop knows when to water them. It's ridiculous how much we rely on our phones for things other than making phone calls. I for one hate cell phones, especially that i rely on it's use so much- and i only use it to make phone calls.

I think it's an interesting tool that's capable of doing all that. But, as people, we are becoming way too dependant on what technology is telling us to do instead of figuring it out ourselves. People did it for thousands of years, why cant we do things on our own now?

Americans are so ridiculously lazy! Before you know it, people will be able to do everything necessary to making a living and be completely satisfied with themselves from home! oh wait... we already can. Sigh...

Sheesh an app for farming now!? What will they come up with next? If only I had an Iphone I could enjoy the thousands..or millions of apps available. Maybe one day!

I think this is a cool idea but it almost seems like a waste of money because most people can watch the weather channel the night before and tell if its going to get too cold for cherries or apples. Also most wind machines automaticaly turn on, so I think as technology progresses this will deminish.

I don't think it is valid to argue that we are to dependent. No, we shouldn't rely on phones alone, but I mean, for example, going to the restroom and sleeping are NATURAL impulses. Your body literally says to you "hey smart one, you really shouldn't have stayed up that late, time for bed. NOW." What's wrong with your phone saying "ALRIGHTY! Time to water your crops!!" This could even help preserve our resources if it can tell us how much water we NEED and how long the wind machines need to be on. Not to be contrary to ya'lls "I LOATHE PHONES LET'S ALL STOP USING THEM...after I make this one last call..." schpeal, but you know I think this app is a good idea. What we need is to make sure that we balance real true social interaction with our app, text, and call usage.

This is a crazy and insane idea. It just shows how our world evolves around technology.
