I'm still in shock from reading the marshmellow story the first time. As soon as i have children and they are that age I am going to try it =]] I like David Brooks. He should write a book.

These articles were very interesting I've always known the importance of character, but for it to have such an impact on success in our society is astonishing.

The marshmallow article seems to prove the Bible right. Both agree that disciplined children have a much better chance at succeeding in the real world.

I love the marshmallow article. But unfortunately I think I would be the one who ate the one marshmallow and didn't have self-control and wait. Maybe I'll end up in jail soon. haha

I agree with Kristen. I cant wait to try that with my kids, after i decide to have them that is.

Barry you really shouldnt have kids... I can see it now you have 13 and you name some of them after the Transformers and then you leave them on the side of the road just so you can wonder what they are talking about (dane cook)

Comparing lifelong success with marshmallows is crazy but it is obviously true. I have always thought that patience was a virtue....guess it's true!!
