I now know what Mr. Peters means when he says it can get intense. However, it is a lot of fun and I can't wait until Thursday when we finish it off.

Wow, it really did get intense today, but it was fun, some good natured joking today. It's really cool that everyone is so close in score, which means we have learned something this quarter. MLA is my least favorite part of the papers, but I can see how knowing the rules are

Did any else think it was getting hot in the room today? lol. I did the MLA Deathmatch 2007 with Peters and I am bound and determined to not let the same thing happen like then.
My group is in the lead right now and we didn't miss a question for like the first 20 questions....but overall out of all questions we missed two...But i am not going to get cocky or laid back at all.
in 2007 our group was ahead the first day and in the lightning round we went to dead last... I will tell you this... Not this time :) no no...lol.
I was also pretty happy because I usually mess up on citations and i learned a lot this quarter and I was amazed how much this english class taught me... it proved in the MLA death match.

What a great way to end a quarter. Friendly compitition, and some fun poking at each other. A good way to wind down. Do any of you think Mr. "P" knows the stress of other classes and is trying to do what he can to ease the tention?
Oh yea, Group # 4, were coming for you.........Grrrrrrr..........

I agree with "english 102 student." I like having this MLA death match for a chance to get breather and work on other classes Great idea Mr. Peters :P
Oh and group #3...be ready for Thursday! lol

What do you mean by “group #3… be ready Thursday!” Anna? Well, maybe I won’t go there… I’m enjoying the “MLA death match” too, and I agree with both Anna and “English 102 student,” It’s really a nice way to keep cool about other stressful classes. Thanks Mr. Peters!

Mike you and your lil group 4 are going down! We were testing the water in round one, but its a clear playing field now! Round 2 will be your demise! Plus i could use a cadillac elderado, it will make a nice addition to my STS i think once we beat you i'll start a collection.

Our class was really good at MLA, Yet all quarter I would hear yeah lets put hardly any weight on MLA.
What's really funny is that I do better on this MLA DM than I do with MLA in ANY of my papers!

Why is it that my other teachers never did something like this i think that this is a good idea to get extra points
