It didn't surprise me to see a big difference between those with a degree and those without. What I was surprised about is that there is very little difference between those with a high school diploma and those that did not finish high school. Wow! I guess a high school diploma doesn't account for much anymore.

This chart gives students more incentive to pursue higher education. I was suprised that even the students who had some college are also being hurt, and are going in the negatives.

I truly believe now that obtaining a college degree is the only way to have a decent life, and its scary to think that maybe in some years having a BA maybe not a promising either. The chart makes me think about higher education maybe further in college.

By seeing this chart I realized the more you put into your education, the better results you are going to see. You must be willing to put the time and effort into getting a college degree if you want to make it and live comfortably in the flat world.

This chart made me realize just how important it is to have a college degree. I was surprised to see that even having completed some college won't get you much further than those who have only completed high school.

That's what stood out the most to me as well. That no hs diploma and those with a hs diploma had very little difference when it came to pay. Those with degrees are better off that's why I'm getting one :). Be cool stay in school.

I agree that what was most shocking about this graph was the slim margin between those with and without only a high school degree. I'd be interested to see the comparison between those with a Bachelor's degree and those with a master's or doctoral.

I seriously think that there should only be 2 years of high school so that people could start going to college earlier. Or there would still be 4 years, but the last 2 are mandatory to go to college. Kind of like Running Start, but Running Start is a choice, this would actually be part of the school system. That'd be awesome.

I think this is a really good chart because it inspire more students to pursue a college degree. When the students will look at this chart, they will be shocked to see the difference between the salary. But the only thing that i didn't like was that the students with some college degree also have to suffer in this kind of economy.

Wow, that chart does prove that being in college is the right place for me. Having been in the private sector previously, I can attest to the fact of wage lowering and position cuts along with heaping more and more responsibilities on a person at the same time. Unfortunately, many employers know there is a long line of people waiting to come in and replace somebody and most are willing to try it for less money.

That's crazy! It's so wierd how the other categories wouldn't even change not even a little bit! It also just comes to show that a full time education is so important and if we don't push ourselves and our children it won't be good for us and generations to come!

I think all junior high students should be given a chart like teaching them and pushing towards a College degree encouraging them to stay in school. I was, however, surprised that the difference between a high school diploma and no diploma was so slim. Central has a chart similar to this hanging up in their financial aid office but it breaks down the occupations and it is very interesting also.

This is no surprise to see the college graduates get pay increases, however it is a surprise to see the people that have some college with no degree receive a cut in pay. There are not too many jobs that are secured now days.

Astonishing that the HS diploma doesnt mean much anymore. I wasnt suprised at all that having a 4yr degree gets you a better job.

This really doesn't surprise me. And to be honest it scares me a little. In my own mind i have so much going on all the time i can't wait to finish up my aa, and call it quits. But from what the chart shows, i need to figure out what i want to do with myself and get a Ba or im gonna be skrewed!

It's crazy how back in the day our grandparents didn't even have to graduate high school and were still able to make a decent living. Now a high school diploma doesn't mean much, so we have to encourage more people to go to college.

The chart is a bit surprising, but it makes sense. This should be pushing more people to get higher degrees.
