hahahahaha I couldn’t stop lifting my head thinking it was actually going to move the camcorder up. The video was different. the obstacles looked very narrow even for the bike to fit going down the track.
This makes me think of how America thinks that they are #1 in the race and then they let their guard down. I wonder which country is hot on our tail and ready to take the lead when we let them. Not a very pleasant thought. You never want to perform the victory dance too soon!
Hopefully the fall didn't hurt too much. We've all had the same thing happen to us in one form or another. We know that we're almost at the end, feel the adrenaline rush, get a bit too excited, miscalculate, and that's when we mess up.
oh gosh. in a way, this was totally me yesterday. this quarter is so close to being over that i can taste it, but unfortunately theres still work to be done!
I think its even more funny the second time around! It really does make you want to keep on going until spring break is here! But I can totally relate...it's happened to me before!
Even though I shouldn't be laughing at anybody but this video was funny. I cracked up when i watched it the first time. I think the guy in the video got his lesson of life that never stop before you are done. I hope he didn't hurt himself. :)
These videos taught me a lot about not celebrating until you have reached your achievement. Do not celebrate before it is too early, or there could be bad results. Even though you think you are the winner, it can be taken from you at any moment. Do not consider yourself above all others and be humble is what these videos taught me.
It was so funny to watch how even after watching the first bicyclist fall, the next one also let go off the handles. It made me think of how we usually start slacking because we start seeing others slack. I was expecting the second bicyclist to fall too!
This video will haunt this person for the rest of his life. How humiliating. Let's not assume that just because we are close to the line that we are going to cross the line. Lesson well learned.
Haha this is too funny. It is a good comparison to the end of our quarter too. I have to admit I was starting to run out of steam, giving that tomorrow is our last day, but I sure don't want to let my gaurd down yet!
I asked my husband what he remembers most about football and that is "always run through the obstacle, dont slow down before it because you'll lose and inch and that could be the game."
That sucks for these people and they were so close to. The snowboarder just messed up on her landing though that could of happened to anyone. But still a good metaphor to motivate us not to celebrate early when we haven't yet passed the finish line or class.
