Dear colleagues, this is a reminder that Monday evening (Feb. 1) will include a presentation on wind energy and its environmental impacts. Julie Conley, formerly of the Nature Conservancy and now a consultant, will present her findings on the impacts of wind energy development across our region. Her work will highlight the challenge of striking a balance between green energy expansion and preserving biodiversity. It’s a case study in the interactions of policymakers, corporate interests and biological opinions. Check it out.
