I am beginning to feel that Friedman has an opinon about everything, and although they are often well educated, it makes me wonder why he is our go to guy for everything political. What made him so perfect and right? Sometimes I am really tired of hearing his name. And its frustrating sometimes because I don't agree with everything he is saying.
I have to agree with Stephanie. I didn't so much mind Friedman at first, but what he talks about all the time is getting really opinionated and... well... very liberal. He claims to be independent, but I highly doubt that. As a conservative myself, it stands out quite a bit- and it's not just me that noticed. But regardless I really don't want to talk about his writing like it's the bible, because I can probably prove that most of the stuff he says he just /thinks./
I thought that having a picture of Friedman on the page was wierd, I never really wanted to see what he looked like, because I had a picture in my head of what he was supposed to look like. and well, its deffinetely not the same.
I guess people would call me liberal, I'd label myself as 'apathetic' or 'independent' towards politics. Part of the reason we have been studying what Freidman says is literally because he has a well educated, and founded opinion on a little bit of everything. Namely the flattening of the world because it has to do with everything. I know I've learned quite a few things from him, and a lot of it I'll hop on the net and do some background research for myself. As for the things he talks about as being nothing than thought, you can go as far as to say, that everything is a matter of thought. It's how his ideas would affect things that are interesting.
I am almost going against Friedman on this one. I feel as though we also over exaggerate the term global warming. Because as stated the climate cahnges but doesnt change the world...
